Frequently Asked Questions

Scouts BSA is for youth ages 10–17 (5th through 12th grade). Troop 175 is a girls' troop based in Indian Land, SC.

We meet almost every Wednesday night from 7:00–8:30 PM year-round at Belair United Methodist Church, 8095 Shelley Mullis Rd, Fort Mill, SC 29707.

We do not charge monthly dues. There is an annual council registration fee of $80 per scout, plus a one-time $25 fee for new scouts. Campout costs vary and are announced in advance.

Two uniform types are required: a Class A (formal BSA shirt, pants/shorts/skort, belt — approximately $160 new) and a Class B (troop T-shirt). Our troop maintains a uniform closet of donated items to help keep costs down.

We plan regular campouts, hiking trips, merit badge field trips, and community service projects throughout the year. Costs vary and are announced ahead of time.

Absolutely! We rely on parent volunteers for transportation, merit badge counseling, committee work, and campout support. Training is provided for all volunteer roles.
